Crystalbrook Collection has set an opening date of 9 June 2021 for its latest hotel, the Crystalbrook Kingsley in Newcastle, NSW.

The property was first announced in December 2018.

Centrally located in the Cultural Precinct opposite Civic Park, Crystalbrook Kingsley is a transformation of Newcastleโ€™s landmark โ€˜Roundhouseโ€™ building, which started life in the 1970s as the City Administration Centre.

The name Kingsley is a tribute to Newcastleโ€™s heritage and the cityโ€™s earlier name of Kingston, which dates back to 1804.

Serving a new level of sustainable luxury to Australiaโ€™s seventh largest city, and the gateway to the Hunter Valley, Crystalbrook Kingsley features 130 contemporary rooms and suites, with urban, park and harbour views.

In an Australian first, Crystalbrook Kingsley will have 100% waste-free bathrooms, where all bathroom amenities are biodegradable or recyclable.

Other sustainable initiatives include the use of upcycled and recycled materials in construction, a single-use plastic free environment, keyless room access and paperless check in and check out.

The hotelโ€™s environmental stance continues through to the crowning glory of the hotel, a rooftop restaurant and rooftop bar, where 80% of the produce is grown within a three-hour radius of the hotel.

Crystalbrook Kingsley was initially slated to open on 15 June 2021.
