Travel allows continuous learning. By around the year A.D.117, the Roman Empire stretched as far as the border between todayโs Iran and Iraq so it makes plausible sense to have a resort named Caesars Palace Bluewaters, on a man-made part of Dubai.
Frankly, apart from larger-than-life statues of Roman emperors (not sure which) you will not be reminded of Vegas. What you will have throughout your stay in this modern five-floor block, built in zigzag formation, is sumptuous and thoughtful luxury.

I suggest one of the 301 Palace rooms that has the best views of the nearby Ferris Wheel, the worldโs tallest (not surprising, remember this is Dubai), and, only 200 metres away some of the 1.7kms end-to-end of private beach. Presidential Suite #525 gives 278 sqm of interior, with some all-glass walls and, as an extra, a wrap-round terrace large enough for a hot tub.

Although branches of both Hamleyโs, for the latest toys, and Madame Tussauds, with its realistic waxworks, are under five minutesโ walk away, this is a hotel for staying put. Why bother to go off-campus? Thereโs a great spa, a Havana Cuba cigar lounge, and memorable food. Demon Duck is Hong Kongโs sensation Alvin Leung doing sexy Asian. Gordon Ramsay, at Hellโs Kitchen, does, well, โGordonโ โ try his perfectly-aged Australian Wagyu as you dine outside, under splendid greenery with highly agreeable background vibes from the DJ at nearby Cove Beach, which packs in Dubaiโs top influencers, plus Gen-Ys and youthful Millennials. After dinner, join in the fun, cavorting like a Caesar on one of the best beaches in Dubai.

Breakfast outside is memorable too, though the only sounds now are birds, and the occasional jogger or walker making the most of the resortโs beach-hugging track.
Tony Costa, regional President of Caesars, is a really hands-on boss of Caesars Palace Bluewaters. With a background that includes Four Seasons variously, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, Wynn in Macau and, lately, running Dubaiโs signature Burj Al-Arab, he is already well-known on the luxury circuit.
Here at Caesars Palace Bluewaters he is evolving new-look hospitality that will see the addition of an 11-room villa with its own grounds, additional wellness and kidsโ offerings, and, for adults, dining-oriented beach club by one of the best-known global food names. Watch this space.
