SunStone Maritime Group has announced a long-term summer charter of its Infinity vessel, Ocean Victory, with a new client. From April 2025, the Ocean Victory will sail in the Mediterranean during northern hemisphere summer seasons for new Spanish luxury cruise operator, Alma Cruceros.

Alma Cruceros (Alma Cruises) is planning itineraries that will cover Spanish destinations in the Mediterranean, as well as Northern and Western Africa and the Canary Islands. The cruise product will be designed for Spanish-speaking passengers in all areas, from music, entertainment, cuisine, and crew.

The new cruise line will be based in Malaga, Spain. Founding Partner and President, Elisardo Sรกnchez says the brand will appeal to Argentines, Chileans, Colombians, Peruvians and Mexicans, as well as the Spanish-speaking community from the United States.

Operating from Malaga, Ocean Victory will operate like a private yacht, unlocking urban destinations but also dropping anchor in coves and on coastlines.

Sรกnchez says the company aspires to connect more Andalusian ports, such as those in Cรกdiz Motril or Almerรญa.

Ocean Victory will continue operating southern hemisphere summer seasons in Antarctica for Albatros Expeditions, which has utlised the ship for the past three seasons.

Previously, Ocean Victory operated under a charter arrangement in Alaska over the northern summer

for American Queen Voyages (AQV) which filed for bankruptcy last month. Originally, Ocean Victory operated for Victory Cruise Lines, which was acquired by AQV a few years ago.

Alma Cruceos plans to begin selling tickets for Ocean Victory from June 2024.
