HMD Asia adds JATI private island resort to portfolio

The hotel company has added a new Cambodian property to its growing stable

Cambodia will welcome a new private island resort with the March 2025 opening of JATI – the latest offering from HMD Asia.

Located just 10 minutes off Cambodiaโ€™s southern coast close to Sihanoukville Airport, the resort will feature 82 one- and two-bedroom villas, some with private pools, located directly on the beach.

It will be owned and operated by HMD Asia, whose portfolio of hotels also includes Cambodiaโ€™s Shinta Mani Hotels, TRIBE hotel in Phnom Penh, Park Hyatt Siem Reap, La Residence Phou Vao in Luang Prabang, Laos as well as La Residence Dโ€™Angkor in Siem Reap.

The new hotel will be home to a beach club, and outposts of Phnomh Penh wine bar Le Manolis and steakhouse Koko.

On the recreation front, it will have a racquet and sports club as well as Thai boxing, paddle-boarding, kayaks and snorkelling, along with the Seahorse Kids Club.

Meanwhile, the Bamboo Spa and Gym will offer Khmer-inspired treatments as well as state-of-the-art workout equipment, ice bath, steam room and sauna.
