A new online training program from Visit Seattle aims to equip travel professionals with the knowledge and tools required to showcase the cityโ€™s experiences to their clients.

Launching on 31 March, the Seattle Destination Training is both free and interactive, with the self-paced curriculum covering Seattle’s diverse attractions, culture, and natural beauty.

โ€œWeโ€™re thrilled to launch this Seattle training program,โ€ Senior Director of Tourism Development at Visit Seattle Liz Johnson said. โ€œEquipping travel professionals with the tools and resources to become destination experts is crucial, and with this certification, our partners will be able to easily curate unforgettable experiences for visitors from around the globe.โ€

The comprehensive training consists of four courses which include: Seattle’s Spirit: Sports & Events which delves into the cityโ€™s vibrant sports scene and annual events;; Mastering the Art of Selling Seattle with strategies for effectively promoting Seattleโ€™s unique offerings; Exploring the Great Outdoors: Seattle’s Adventure Guide providing insights into outdoor activities and natural wonders in the area; and Savoring Seattle: A Culinary Journey which introduces Seattleโ€™s renowned food and drink scene.

Upon completion, participants will earn the โ€œSeattle Certifiedโ€ designation, positioning them as insiders who can offer tailored vacation experiences for their clients. The program also provides free resources, such as vibrant visuals, comprehensive guides, and updates on the latest destination news and trends, helping agents stay informed and inspired.
